Trip Details

The Trip

The medical service trip is a flagship component of Timmy Global Health’s continuum of care in Quito, Ecuador. We work alongside our local partner, Fundación Tierra Nueva, to provide a continuity of services to our partner communities through the coordination of various universities/teams in our international clinics every 2-3 months throughout the year.

Flight Itinerary

More details on the recommended flights are coming soon.

TIMMY’s Partner

In Quito, our primary partner is Fundación Tierra Nueva and its 148-bed Hospital Padre Jose Carollo, also known as “Un Canto a La Vida.” Timmy works year-round in collaboration with the Tierra Nueva Foundation to perform follow-up care with our critical patient cases and expand health services in south Quito to those who have the least access. Tierra Nueva serves as Timmy’s largest referral center, receiving hundreds of critical patient cases not only from Quito but also from Timmy’s partner communities in the Amazon and the coastal region of Ecuador.

Health and Safety

No vaccinations are currently required for entry to Quito. However, we strongly suggest that you consult your physician for advice on any recommended vaccines or special precautions whenever traveling outside the United States.

Important Note

Your days here in Ecuador will be an invaluable opportunity to learn more about a country different from your own, practice your Spanish, and serve people in much need of your time, energy, and hope. It will also be a week to reflect on your beliefs, attitudes, and goals. Your experience will be a fun, challenging, and eye-opening experience. But remember that the trip only lasts a short time, so we urge you all to come with an open mind, a flexible attitude, and a sense of humor.
