CONNECT TRIP 2026
Connect Trip
The medical service trip is a flagship component of Timmy Global Health’s continuum of care in Quito, Ecuador. We work alongside our local partner, Tierra Nueva Foundation, to provide a continuity of services to our partner communities through the coordination of various universities/teams in our international clinics—every 2-3 months throughout the year. This makes it possible to follow up with critical care patients, treat chronic conditions, and increase the overall quality, sustainability, and impact of our short-term medical clinics.
Timmy Global Health has 10 partner communities in South Quito. These are communities that have been receiving continuous primary care for several years from TGH, and they will function as the clinic sites during your week in Quito. The communities were chosen alongside our partner organization, Tierra Nueva Foundation, using information from the Ecuadorian census and the Ministry of Health.
TIMMY’s Partner
In Quito, our primary partner is the Tierra Nueva Foundation and its 148-bed Hospital Padre Jose Carollo, also known as “Un Canto a La Vida.” Timmy works year-round in collaboration with the Tierra Nueva Foundation to perform follow-up care with our critical patient cases and expand health services in south Quito to those who need it the most.
Health and Safety
No vaccinations are currently required for entry to Quito. However, we strongly suggest that you consult your physician for advice on any recommended vaccines or special precautions whenever traveling outside the United States. To have the most benefit, visit a health care provider 4-6 weeks before your trip so the vaccines will have time to take effect.
Important Note
Your days here in Ecuador will be an invaluable opportunity to learn more about a country different from your own, practice your Spanish, and serve people in much need of your time, energy, and hope. It will also be a week to reflect on your beliefs, attitudes, and goals. Your experience will be a fun, challenging, and eye-opening experience. But remember that the trip only lasts a short time, so we urge you all to come with an open mind, a flexible attitude, and a sense of humor.
Open Roles
If you have completed your residency and carry a medical license and diploma, you can join as a medical professional.
We are looking for MD/DOs, RNs, and General Volunteers.
